Current Projects...
Before 2012, Yellow Door chose to run only one large project, or several smaller projects, at a time.
Obviously, such a plan restricted company profits but it also required less management time - a necessary strategy because Yellow Door was only one of several businesses being managed by its directors up to that point.
However, at the end of 2012 the directors decided to transform YDP into their main business. In preparation, they raised additional capital to access a broader range of new projects and their current plan is to run up to three large projects simultaneously - though this will clearly depend on project size and scope.

According to the DofE: 'Sustainable development means encouraging economic growth while protecting the environment and improving our quality of life - all without affecting the ability of future generations to do the same.' 
YDP sees sustainable development (SD) within the building industry as key to tackling the linked challenges of climate change, resource use, economic prosperity and social well-being. SD is designed into each of Yellow Door’s projects and it views the stipulations of its Planning Consents as a social responsibility and not a burden. YDP always seeks to exceed statutory requirements in respect of insulation, alternative energy sources and water conservation.
